Kostas Karnakis and Anastasia Damalidou are the founders of “Akron Aoton”, a ceramics studio that has been in operation since 2016 and is dedicated to handcrafted creations influenced by Japanese aesthetics. The two artists experiment with developing handmade glazes and various firing techniques, such as raku and reduction firing.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the studio celebrates the raw and untamed beauty of natural materials. The result? Minimalist objects with delicate forms, earthy tones, and rough surfaces that remind us to seek simplicity in our lives.
